The LORD Cleanses and Restores Us

God Calls Us To Confess Our Sins: Psalm 86.1-5

We respond by confessing our sins (kneeling if able):

Almighty and most merciful Father; we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed; that we have not loved You with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength; and that we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We ask of You, O Lord, to forgive what we have been, to help us to amend what we are, and of Your mercy to direct what we shall be; So that we may hereafter walk in the way of your commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

*God Assures Us of His Grace: Psalm 86.11-13

*Pastor: Lift up your hearts!

We lift them up to the Lord!

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God!

It is proper and right to do so.

Truly it is good, right and beneficial that we should give thanks to you at all times and in every place, O Lord, holy Father, almighty and everlasting God. Therefore, with angels and archangels and all the company of heaven, and with the church on earth, we praise and magnify your glorious Name, evermore praising you and singing...

TRIBUTE OFFERING PRAYER:

Blessed are You, O Lord God our Father,

forever and ever.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness

and the power

and the glory

and the victory

and the majesty.

Indeed, Yours is all that is in the heavens and in the earth.

Yours is the dominion, Lord Jesus Christ,

and You are exalted above all.

All that we have, both riches and honor, come from You;

and it is out of the abundance of Your own gifts to us

that we offer these our gifts to You.

Amen.

"THE PRAYERS OF God'S PEOPLE"

The LORD Communes With Us

The Lord feeds us with his body and blood: The Lord's Supper

We respond by eating God's Food

Bread: "For Your Gift of God the Spirit"

Wine: "Look, Ye Saints, The Sight is Glorious"

Almighty and ever-living God, we thank you for feeding us with the spiritual food of the most precious body and blood of Your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; and for assuring us in these holy mysteries that we are living members of the Body of your Son, and heirs of Your eternal kingdom. Amen.

The LORD Commissions and Blesses Us

*God Commissions Us: 1 Peter 3.15-16

*Hymn: "O King of Kings, Before Whose Throne" (SB 35)

*Benediction

*We depart joyfully, praising Him: Nunc Dimitis (raised hands on Gloria)
Lord, thou lettest now thy servant depart in peace: according to thy word; For mine eyes have seen thy salvation: which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles: and the glory of thy people Israel.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. A-men.
